I have written for students, adult amateurs, and professionals, and worked with just about every imaginable instrumental and vocal combination.
I have been asked to do no-holds-barred commissions and pieces with very specific requirements.
I have been involved in many creative projects,
including helping students use their own words to build
a multi-movement work with full orchestration for them to sing.
In 2003 I was awarded the Artist Trust/Washington State Arts Commission Fellowship for Music, and have been commissioned by the Canadian Brass, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, Spokane and Walla Walla Symphonies, Brass Band Northwest, and Spokane Area Children's Chorus, among others. My music has been performed by the New York Philharmonic,
Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony,
and many other fine ensembles. More.
I am happy to work by the hour or quote a fee to take a commission project from start to finish.
Scores and parts will be as clean and accurate as anything available - music engraving software has come a long way since my early days of felt-tip pens on manuscript paper - and I can generate MIDI playbacks so that you can hear a piece before it is performed. Plus, I make my deadlines.
Let's talk about your project - email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'm up for anything. Let's do something creative.
